Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born on 15 April 1990) is an English actress and model who rose to fame as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. Between 2001 and 2009, she starred in six Harry Potter films, opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.She was born in Paris. Where she lived until the age of five and later moved to Oxfordshire. As she wanted to be an actress from the age of six, she studied singing, dancing and acting at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts and performed in several school plays and Stagecoach productions.
In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s, and she was cast as Hermione Granger. The film was released in 2001and became the highest-grossing film of 2001. Her performance won her the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress. A year year, she starred again as Hermione in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In 2004, it was released the third installment of the series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Her role won her two Otto Awards and from Total Film the Child Performance of the Year Award.
